ABOUT
POV: YOUTH FILM AWARDS is a fresh, local film festival
run BY and FOR young South Aussie Filmmakers.
Established in 2023 by Holly Winter Films, and supported by the City of Marion,
POV aims to provide a community event to acknowledge the work of
young filmmakers aged 12-17,
and to equip & encourage these creatives on their filmmaking journey.
We also want to champion young voices and the stories they want to tell,
creating a platform to showcase things from YOUR Point Of View.
SUBMIT YOUR FILM
We accept short films of all genres (comedy, drama, music video, documentary…)
from South Australian filmmakers aged 12-17.
Show us something from your point of view - however you’d like to interpret that!
We want to hear what you’re passionate about, see new innovations, experience new stories, gasp, laugh, cry!

WORKSHOPS
Want to learn how to create a short film?
We're running a series of 6 workshops to learn the essentials of filmmaking with hands-on activities delivered by local filmmakers, just in time to submit to the POV: Youth Film Awards!
Each week will cover a different role / aspect of the filmmaking process, and build upon the next.

AWARDS NIGHT
An evening to screen & celebrate your short films!
Films will be judged by a panel of emerging local filmmakers, with a red-carpet film awards night.
Prizes have previously included mentorship opportunities in the local film industry, access to editing suites, trophies, vouchers for equipment and more!
